Technical Standardization

VÚS offers services related to preparation, processing and approval procedures of the international, European, and Slovak technical standards, including creation of Slovak technical terminology of electronic communication.

VÚS, the Institute of Electronic Communications as the National Secretariat of the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) offers:

• Services and information about preparation and publication of globally-applicable European standards (EN) for Information and Communications Technologies (ICT), including fixed, mobile, radio, converged, broadcasting and Internet technologies.
• Support and assistance for those interested (especially for SMEs) to be able to actively participate in ETSI EN drafting processes in the framework of their implementation into the national standard system as the Slovak Technical Standards (STN).
• Active promotion of technical plans and strategies of customers at the time of preparation and adoption of technical standards by ETSI Technical Committees.

VÚS offers comprehensive services for the preparation and processing of Slovak technical standards and regulations in the field of electronic communications and postal services.

VÚS offers a full range of services for the unified Slovak terminology for electronic communications, which is being prepared. At the same time the Slovak language is developed and enriched in accordance with the Act no. 270/1995 Coll. on the State Language of the Slovak Republic as amended.
